The first day of school is Tuesday, September 7 starting at 8:30 AM. Teachers are very busy trying to get their rooms ready the beginning of school.
We offer 6-8 grade volleyball again this year. Participants must have a current physical. Physicals are good for two years. If your child needs a physical, please take care of this before the start of the school year so they are not missing school or practice.
Oktoberfest is only 15 days away. Please look over the schedule that is coming in the mail or in your email inbox and see if there is a time that would work for you and your family members to fill in a spot. It takes over 65 volunteers to run the O-Fest booth. Because we are a small school, it will take volunteer time from most of our families to make it happen. This is our main fundraiser of the year and brings in around $8,000! All of the money goes back to the school.

Central Howell Dress Code 3/31/10
Dress and Grooming
The school's dress code is established to promote appropriate grooming and hygiene, prevent disruption and avoid safety hazards.
Students who represent the school in a voluntary activity may be required to meet additional dress and grooming standards and may be denied the opportunity to participate if those standards are not met. Students should be appropriately dressed to go outside when needed for recess or PE.
Examples of inappropriate clothing are:
Clothing with words or logos with alcohol, tobacco products, drugs, vulgarity, violence, bigotry, or sexual connotations or that contain double meanings about the above listed items.
Clothing that creates a safety hazard (i.e. oversized “saggy” pants which prevent students from safely using stairs and exiting the building quickly during an emergency). Pants should fit at the waist with no underwear showing. If a belt is worn, it must be worn through all belt loops and not hanging below the waist. Overall straps must be worn over the shoulders and not left hanging below the waist.
Chains attached to belts, wallets, or pant loops.
Crop tops or any top that shows a bare midriff or exposes undergarments.

Our school calendar is now available online. On the left hand side of our homepage you will see a menu for our website. Select the word "Calendar" and you will be taken to our new Google school calendar. The calendar includes all of the upcoming boy's basketball games.
