Central Howell Elementary School - Silver Falls School District

The boys have two home basketball games this week.   We play Bethany today and Victor Point on Wednesday. Both games start at 4 PM.   We received our clothing order from Victory Prints. If you have not yet received the clothing you ordered please contact the school.    We have a few extra items for sale. First come, first served, we have three Central Howell beanies, one adult large windbreaker and one youth medium t-shirt for sale. Please stop in the office if you are interested.

Our next Parent Club meeting at scheduled for Wednesday the 18th at 2:45 PM in the staff room, weather permitting.  

Whenever we have a two hour delay day there is automatically no kindergarten class at Central Howell.  School starts two hours later than normal which is 10:30 AM and buses pick up students two hours later than normal.  If your child is normally picked up at 7:30 AM they won’t be picked up until 9:30 AM on a delay day.  

On a day when school is canceled there are no classes and all scheduled games or programs are automatically canceled.  

Right now are boys are scheduled to play at Scotts Mills on Wednesday and at Silver Crest on Thursday.  Weather permitting both games will be played as scheduled.

Today is an early release day. Students will be released at 1:20 PM to go home. Please contact the school if you have any questions.   6-8 Grade students will start their bowling unit this Wednesday. Students must have a permission slip signed by the parent to go bowling.    Our entire school is traveling to OMSI on Thursday, January 12th. All students must have a permission slip. Every chaperone must have an approved criminal background check.    Part of the OMSI trip is to attend a 10 AM showing at the OMNI-Max Theater. We must leave at 8:30 AM Thursday to arrive at OMSI on time. On Thursday, students should be prepared to arrive at school and leave for OMSI very quickly.    Boys’ basketball season has begun. Their first game is at Scotts Mills on the 18th. Their first home game is on the 19th against Pratum.    Monday, January 16th there is no school due to Martin Luther King Day, a federal holiday.    Our next Parent Club meeting will be Wednesday, January 18th at 2:45 PM in the staff room.
